As a child I was surrounded by music and started taking piano lessons around age 6. Throughout my childhood music continued to become a strong source of joy in my life and I looked for musical opportunities every where I went.
I attended Duquesne University as a piano major where I also received my B.S. in Music Education. Duquesne University taught me many valuable skills as an educator and performer. At Duquense I was a member of the Pappert Chorale, NAfME (National Education for music education), and Mu Phi Epsilon (professional music fraternity).
Currently, I work full time as a general music teacher at Langley K-8 in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Each day is met with challenges and possibilites. However, teaching music is one of the most rewarding jobs that I have ever had and I cannot wait to explore the path the music and the piano will take you on.
